Dr. King in the media!
Updated: Dec 4, 2019
Hello, friends!
Sharing information with parents and teaching children and teens about their mental health and social development is a huge passion of mine. I have been so excited recently to have the opportunity of reaching beyond client sessions in my office to share my thoughts on a variety of topics. Here are all the highlights!

Raising Resilient Kids Summit
Coming THIS week! Brave Young Heroes is hosting a FREE online summit featuring an excellent range of experts interviewed online and posting between October 25th and November 1st. Dr. Dan Siegel, author of The Whole-Brain Child and Debbie Reber of Tilt Parenting are among the experts. I am honored to be a part of this! My interview focuses on nurturing your child's social skills and you can register for the Raising Resilient Kids Summit HERE.

Parents Magazine
I have been listening to your stories about how classroom clip charts increase anxiety and set unattainable expectations for our children with autism, ADHD, and anxiety. I had to speak up and was excited that Parents Magazine wanted to publish my thoughts on this topic. You can read the article HERE. I hope to write more for Parents in the future and always welcome your thoughts on what you'd like to hear more about!

The Holderness Family Podcast
You might know the Holderness Family from their incredibly entertaining YouTube videos but they also have a podcast! Also very entertaining, their podcast takes on more serious topics in parenting and I really appreciate the balance of humor and information they provide to their listeners. I had lots of fun talking with Kim and Penn Holderness about anxiety in childhood and how to create body confidence in our children. You can listen HERE and HERE.

Join Me On Social Media!
I hope to not only help my clients at the office, but also share information through facebook to help parents and teachers, most of whom I will never even meet. I share inspirational quotes every day, post articles of interest in raising and teaching children with disabilities, and share local and online resources to help parents never stop learning more about how to be the best parent for their child.
If you haven't already, you can "like" the Parenting On Your Own Path with Dr. Emily W. King facebook page HERE. All media highlights are posted to my facebook page when they happen, so follow along! Have an awesome week, everyone!
