About Dr. Emily
I have spent the last 20 years as a child psychologist, and former school psychologist, working with neurodivergent children, alongside their parents and teachers, to build an understanding of how a child's development, mental health, and relationships intersect to create the ideal environment for their growth.
In 2023, I shifted my focus to helping parents support their neurodivergent children. If you are a former client and your child would like to work with me again, please send me an email to check my availability.
More about me:
I earned a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed an APA-accredited psychology internship at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Houston, Texas. I continued working in the public schools to complete my post-doctoral training in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD where I provided evaluation, therapy, and consultation services in elementary, middle, and high school students, parents, and teachers.
I have been working in private practice in my hometown of Raleigh since 2010. I am a Licensed Psychologist and Health Services Provider in NC specializing in autism, ADHD, anxiety, twice-exceptionality, and anxiety. I am certified in DIR/Floortime which informs my works with parents and educators.
ā
I am passionate about helping parents connect with their children in order to cultivate loving and supportive interactions that are felt by both parent and child. My background in School Psychology has given me extensive experience in psycho-educational evaluations, which helps me support parents as they navigate school services.
