Emily W. King, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Emily specializes in consultation for parents raising neurodivergent children (those diagnosed with autism, ADHD, giftedness, or twice-exceptionality) and all that comes with it. Due to licensing laws, Dr. Emily is only able to provide consultation for families living in North Carolina. More about me: Dr. Emily is a former school psychologist who has spent the last 20 years building an understanding of how a child's development, mental health, and relationships intersect to create the ideal environment for their growth. She earned a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed an APA-accredited psychology internship at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Houston, Texas. She completed post-doctoral training in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD where she provided evaluation, therapy, and consultation services in elementary, middle, and high schools. Dr. Emily is a Licensed Psychologist and Health Services Provider in NC and is certified in DIR/Floortime which informs her work with parents and educators.
